Our Story
From a warehouse full of broken glass to Nepal's only smash room
Before The Smash Room, our family was in the business of supplying hospitality goods — everything a restaurant or hotel needs, imported and delivered. Fragile goods and long shipping routes don't mix well, and one afternoon I walked into our warehouse to find a truck's worth of chipped glasses, cracked plates, and broken ceramics.
I sent a photo to a friend as a joke: "this basically is a rage room." The reply came back almost instantly: "so open one, for real."
I didn't sleep that night. By the next morning I was deep into research — nobody else was doing this in Nepal. I ran the numbers: setup costs, rent, and how long it would take to break even. A week later I pitched it to my family. They said yes.
What followed was a month of renovations, long nights, and turning an idea from a group chat into an actual room. The Smash Room was built out of literal waste, for anyone in Kathmandu who's ever needed somewhere to put their stress down.

Pitched it to family, calculated rent & break-even. THEY SAID YES! 🔥
